Edwin Montanano was a nurse affiliated with the Hudson County jail, Edwin Montanano, has died, county spokesman Jim Kennelly said Monday morning.

Another nurse is currently on a ventilator, said sources with knowledge of conditions at the jail.

Montanano was an employee of Wellpath, the contractor that provides medical services at the jail.
